## Frequently asked questions

### What is hold-normalized gaming win?

Casino win depends on volume and on luck, especially in baccarat, where a few high-stakes players can swing a month. Hold-normalized win estimates the amount wagered at each table game (win divided by the hold percentage) and applies that game's average hold over the previous 36 months, so the change reflects play rather than luck.

### How much did the Las Vegas Strip win last month?

In September 2026 the Strip won $693.5M (+0.8% year over year). At normal table hold it would have been about $735.7M (-0.2%): baccarat held 9.8% against a normal 16.5%, so luck took away about $42.3M.
